You can spice up your content pages by adding a header image.
Adding a header:
- Log into WordPress by adding '/sl-login/' to the end or your URL and adding your credentials
- Head to Pages > All pages, and choose the content page you wish to edit
- Under Page, you’ll notice the option to upload a Hero Image
- Click Add Image and select the image you wish to upload (if it's not already in WordPress, you can drag and drop your image onto this screen to upload it)
- Click Select – you will be taken back to the Page screen and will notice a thumbnail of your image is shown below Hero Image
- Click Update
You can also change the position of the title. You have two options:
- Show the title over the header
- Show the title in the body content beneath the header
Changing the title position:
- Below the Hero Image upload, you have a Title Position drop down menu
- Selecting Header positions your title over the header (the first example above)
- Selecting Body positions your title off the header, above your text (the second example above)
- Click Update
Adding a subtitle:
- Below the Title Position section, you have a Subtitle field
- Put in your subtitle (if you want one)
- Click Update
Displaying a Sidebar on page:
You can choose to have a sidebar display on the right hand side of a content page (shown in the images above - section on the right). The Sidebar will display some links and buttons for visitors to quickly access certain areas of the site.
- Below the Subtitle field, you have a Display a Sidebar on Page? field
- Select Yes or No
